Ernie's Story

Appalachian Farmstead's Dale Earnhardt

Farmstead's Dale Earnhardt is a beautiful dark brown 2007 gelding with a white star in the center of his forehead. Ernie is by our first herd sire, Willow Creek Luigi, and out of the great brood jennet, Country Music's Jean Shepherd. Ernie has been a wonderful halter gelding for Appalachian Farmstead, being our first ADA Excellence Award winner, and recently achieving the ADA Supreme Halter Award. He has stood Grand and Reserve Champion nearly every time shown over the past few years, winning those championships at large shows such as The Great Celebration Mule and Donkey Show and the Tennessee State Fair.

Ernie and Farmstead's Archie Campbell are now enjoying their new home with the Hall family in Kingston TN.
